The InSpace biodegradable implantable balloon (spacer) is used as a spacer to reduce friction between the acromion and the humeral head or rotator cuff to allow smooth gliding of the humeral head against the acromion. The balloon may be inserted arthroscopically or by using mini-open procedure. InSpace is designed to restore shoulder function and reduce pain.¹
